Zoo-Refuge de Guyane

The Zoo Refuge of French Guiana, located in the French overseas department of French Guiana, serves as a sanctuary for the region’s diverse wildlife. It operates as a rehabilitation and conservation center for animals that have been rescued from illegal trafficking, habitat destruction, or are otherwise in distress. The facility focuses on the care and rehabilitation of a variety of species native to the Amazon rainforest, including monkeys, birds, and reptiles. In addition to its role in animal rescue, the Zoo Refuge also aims to educate the public about wildlife conservation and the importance of preserving the delicate ecosystems of French Guiana.
